USABILITY EVALUATION OF THE WAZE APPLICATION USING THE SYSTEM USABILITY SCALE IN THE PORTUGUESE LANGUAGE VERSION OF BRAZIL

Abstract

With the growth and expansion of the internet today, it has become common to incorporate tools and resources into our daily routines that help in decision-making, both for personal and professional purposes. This article seeks to understand the user experience in using the Waze application, as a tool to help and facilitate a specific category of professionals who use highways to transport cargo across the country, truck drivers. As a tool for measuring the usability test, we used the System Usability Scale - SUS, in order to point out possible improvements in the application for this portion of professionals. The methodology employed through a Google Forms questionnaire focuses on end user satisfaction, evaluating three main points: effectiveness, efficiency and accuracy. We conclude from the analysis of the data obtained, the result of SUS based on the evaluation of the WAZE software, points out that from the usability point of view the application delivers what is proposed in its project, with a total of 70.89 points.
