Abstract

The death rates in traffic accidents have increased significantly each year, there are several factors that interfere with safety when traveling on the roads, among them: human errors (recklessness, negligence and malpractice), the precarious conditions of the roads and the ease of acquire a vehicle nowadays, thus increasing the number of vehicles in traffic. In addition to the fact that it is not mandatory for the purchaser of a vehicle to have a C.N.H (national driver's license), which increases the risk of people who are not able to drive, that is, they do not know the traffic rules, signs and do not have the necessary skill to know how to take a decision in a risky situation in traffic. Given these facts, actions are needed to reduce traffic accidents, especially those caused by the imprudence of drivers: drunk driving, under the influence of drugs or drugs that determine dependence, driving holding or handling a cell phone, driving without mental or psychological conditions and finally driving in high speed. Based on this last human error, the idea of ​​deploying interconnected radars can be mitigated through a specific data mining between radars that measure the speed of vehicles on highways in a certain space traveled between one radar and another, determining the average speed of the vehicle through of formula suggested and applied as an example, thus reducing traffic accidents caused by the recklessness of drivers who travel above the maximum speed allowed for the road defined by specific signage or by the traffic norm governed by the Brazilian Traffic Code (CTB).
