PET HEALTH REGISTRATION APPLICATION FOR GUARDIANS, VETERINARIANS AND COMPANIES

Abstract

Introduction: Registration and consolidation of pet health data has become a reality within Veterinary Medicine. With significant increase in the number of people with pets and the increasing concern about keeping pets’ health up to date, mobile apps are na important tool to facilitate this care. Objective: Develop na acessible mobile application for both animal tutor and veterinarians to control health and promote welfare. Methodology: Based on research and data collection, it was developed through the Android Studio system using Java as the main language for application programming. Results: In the developed application, veterinarians can make use of an electronic medical record tool, recording their appointments, vaccines and medications performed, as well as attaching prescriptions and exam reports. Tutor, in addition to having in their hands the entire record of the events performed by de veterinarian, receive notifications alerts about what needs to be redone, medication schedules, in addition to receiving technical information about medicines and vaccines directly from the laboratories and indications of possible places to buy them. Conclusion: It is hoped that this work can help the development of other initiatives, with the use of mobile resources, to promote health among pets and tutors, working on the theme prevention in health in first place.
